  • Member of The Chamber of Commerce
  • Bertie County Schools:  UHI contributed a 16-passenger van to transport children to and
    from events.
  • "The Hive" : The Hive is an alternative school for at-risk youth. UHI donated 16 school
    uniform winter coats to children in need.
  • Work Force Development Board - Lewis Dameron, CEO is on the board.  This board
    ensures government grants/loans allocations are properly distributed to organizations that
    would benefit from government funding.
  • Relay For Life:  UHI made monetary contributions to Breast Cancer Awareness 2009
  • Family Resource Center - UHI contributed goods/services to this organization
  • Sandy Point Baptist Church Youth.  UHI made a financial contribution to Sandy Point's youth
    summer trip.
  • Zion Bethlehem Church.  UHI installed new tiles and purchased new chairs for the Fellowship
    Hall.
  • Bertie County Job/Business Expo:  UHI was a representative in the expo.
  • Bertie County High School College Foundation:  UHI made a financial contribution their
    college foundation.
